Maria’s Background in Coaching
Maria Carlton graduated from Coach University* as a qualified ACTP in February 2004 after an intensive 2 and a half year diploma program. Since then she has coached dozens of companies and individuals, mostly focusing on business coaching, for managers, entrepreneurs and leaders. She has also coached other senior and highly qualified coaches since 2010, and currently works with clients from Scotland, England, Australia, and New Zealand.
Maria’s style of coaching is described by one of her clients as “iron fist in a velvet glove – but she sure does get results”.
Business coaching is usually scheduled weekly or fortnightly, 60-90 minutes sessions, with a white board and you the client will be asked to undertake some actions based on what you have indicated you will do to help move yourself forward on your decided journey. Maria will nurture, promote, and cheer you on to achieve your intended outcomes, and is not afraid to role up her sleeves and get stuck into what needs to be done by changing her hat and slipping into Consultant mode if and when necessary.
Coaching is a skill set that she brings to the table of consultant – and sometimes vice-versa. Maria’s primary love in business is in the area of marketing and this is the area she will focus on foremost in her coaching with you, however this is not to say that you would not also address areas such as:
